Hi, my name is Peter Chapman, I am a designer at heart. I more specifically describe myself as a Visual Web Designer and Front-End Developer.

My contract through Bezwax Inc. for Verizon.com Residential ended December 31st (2010) so I am currently available for work. For them I handled site-wide banner creatives, static as well as flash based. I’ve got an extensive knowledge of the latest Creative Suite Software, as well as an extensive knowledge of CSS and XHTML, thus having a unique perspective on designing for the web. I’ve created websites and set them to Content Management Systems (CMS), WordPress and Expression Engine, which can be seen in my portfolio section. I have multiple years of experience in what I do and all of that’s been in a pressure cooker environment. My professional path has resulted from an innate love of two seemingly diverse things; anything artistically, musically compelling and technical “geekery” – or how things work and how to make things work.

I love photography as a hobby, pretty much starting at age 15 through film using a Brownie camera and now to digital thanks to my awesome new Nikon D90. My Flickr page here.

My greatest achievement however is being a father to our daughter and a happy husband to my wife. I am truly blessed with a great family. I love getting together with our friends, doing whatever. Sometimes that’s purveying different Pinot’s, Cabernet’s or hop contents of beers with an occasional cigar. Love catching surf regardless of water temperature,
